But the word that is written in their Law must be fulfilled: ‘They hated me without a cause.’

For it will come upon all who dwell on the face of the whole earth.
He said to them, “Then render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.”
For I was afraid of you, because you are a severe man. You take what you did not deposit, and reap what you did not sow.’
The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know, and will cut him in pieces and put him with the unfaithful.
Blessed are those servants whom the master finds awake when he comes. Truly, I say to you, he will dress himself for service and have them recline at table, and he will come and serve them. If he comes in the second watch, or in the third, and finds them awake, blessed are those servants! But know this, that if the master of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have left his house to be broken into. You also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”
But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil.
In those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. This was the first registration when Quirinius was governor of Syria. And all went to be registered, each to his own town. And what I say to you I say to all: Stay awake.”
